Computer's Functions in Healthcare- I chose to discuss the healthcare industry for this weeks discussion. One reason that it is important to be computer literate in this field is because of how essential it is to not only be able to store sensitive patient info, but it is also incredibly important to be able to access information quickly and efficiently with several medical professionals across a network (Alexander, 2023). We truly take this granted when we go and see our doctors today. I will briefly share how my personal experience with how this works in this field, as I have unfortunately had my fair share of health issues. Between hospital visits I have had doctors take digital notes about medications I had been taking, along with my overall condition. They would store and file these notes on their drives and then use this recorded information with each other. This information helped them come up with great treatment plans that have helped my body react and recover in positive ways.

Advancements in Healthcare Computers- When it comes to computer hardware advancements in this technology could help medical professionals diagnose diseases earlier along and help monitor and treat them as well (Vrettos, 2023). This will be massive when in limiting the damage a disease like cancer can do to one's body.

Importance of Computer Evolution in the Healthcare Field- The evolution of operating systems will be important as well, as upgraded and enhanced operating systems will make accessing data easier for medical personnel. Upgraded Operating systems will also be able to keep sensitive data safer and less vulnerable to potential cyber-attacks. Finally, the evolution of networking will essentially make it easier for medical professionals to communicate with each other. As I briefly mentioned earlier in my post, effective communication with each other helped my doctors come up with great treatments plans for me. Enhanced networking is key when it comes to improving the quality of life in patients.
